Sophie joined our Pre-Employment Training programme for support in finding a job and developing new skills. She completed a two-week online course and achieved a Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Warehousing & Storage, and a Level 1 Certificate in Digital Skills.
Since being able to add these new qualifications to her CV and with the employability skills she learnt on the course, Sophie has since found employment as a customer service advisor in Walsall.

What made you want to take part in this course?
I wanted to sharpen my skills and improve my employability skills to help me find a job.
What did you enjoy most about this course?
I enjoyed the Teams online class sessions and daily assignments.
What new skills and knowledge have you learned?

Did you find that the course met your expectations?
Yes, I acquired an in-depth understanding of the steps involved in receiving and storing goods, types of storages, detailed description of job roles, how to take stock inventory and the importance of adhering to HSE regulations and guidelines in all segments of the warehouse. I also learnt how to process orders and dispatch goods, deliver excellent customer service/satisfaction and handle different customers.
Did you find that the course prepared you for interview and employment?
It did, I was able to utilise knowledge from the course to prepare for my interview
Did you find employment upon course completion?
Yes. I got a job with Teleperformance UK, as a Customer service advisor for NHS 119
Are you enjoying employment?
My job has been very interesting, sometimes a bit challenging but I’m enjoying it.
Were you provided with enough support from the entire team throughout the process?
Yes, I got follow up emails and support from the team to track how my job search was going.

Yes, because it was value adding and I was equipped with fundamental skills which have really helped me interact professionally in my workplace.
