Daniel completed his construction training and achieved his green CSCS card with Back 2 Work Complete training to widen his career horizons. He knew that obtaining a CSCS card would make it easier to find work and this was made possible by our construction pre-employment training programme.
Daniel is now working as a labourer on a construction site and has progressed within his job role since starting it.

What made you want to take part in this course?
I wanted to get my CSCS card and a free course with the CSCS card included was ideal for me.
What did you enjoy most about this course?
With the classroom being over Microsoft Teams, I enjoyed learning from the comfort of my own home.
What new skills and knowledge have you learned?
I gained the skills and knowledge to pass my CSCS exam the first time and I had the confidence and belief that I would pass it the first time.
Did you find that the course met your expectations?
Everything met my expectations. My course tutor Michelle worked alongside me perfectly and gave me any extra help I needed.
Did you find that the course prepared you for an interview and employment?
Yes and I’m sure the course would help some people get prepared for an interview and employment. With myself I knew I would find some work with the CSCS card.
Did you find employment upon course completion?
Yes. I’m working as a building site labourer. My main roles include keeping the site clean and tidy and reporting to my supervisor and doing any tasks he asks for.
How are you finding employment?
I’m loving my new job. I have had a £3 per hour pay rise since I have started so I am earning good money.
Were you provided with enough support from the entire team throughout the process?
The team was really helpful. All of my emails were replied to quickly and any help on the course was only a question away.
Would you recommend us to others?
I would definitely recommend the CSCS course. From start to finish it was enjoyable and the training ensured I would pass the test the first time.
Daniel’s tutor throughout the course, Michelle, commented on how he had completed all of his work throughout the course to an extremely high standard and showed a fantastic understanding of the construction industry.
