Our pre-employment training course in Customer Service is designed to introduce the basic principles of customer care and support, with additional qualifications in team leading available for our learners.

Each learner receives an accredited Level 2 Certificate upon completion of the course, with further support provided by our progressions team to help them move into full-time employment.

One learner who recently completed the course is Kim from Redditch.

Kim's story

Kim enrolled on our Customer Service training course to develop her understanding of working in this industry, and gain accredited, relevant qualifications to boost her overall employability.

Having previously graduated from University, she found that she was struggling to find suitable employment and didn’t possess the confidence in herself when it came to the interview process.

She told us how the support she received from her tutor was greatly appreciated, and helped to boost her overall confidence when it came to preparing for interview situations.

Our Tutor, Amy, was really supportive and made the activities on the course really fun and engaging and answered any questions that we may have had.

I also feel that the course has prepared me for interview stages and made me more confident in presenting skills that I learnt on the course.

Enjoyable experience

Kim also told us how much she enjoyed her overall experience on the course, and enjoyed working with others on various units throughout her training.

I enjoyed learning new skills in team leading and meeting new people with similar experiences. I also gained more insight and knowledge in both written and spoken work, preparing me for a new job role.

New job secured

Not only did Kim successfully complete the course and gain an accredited Level 2 Certificate to add to her CV, but she also gained a new role working within Customer Services after completing her training.

I got a job shortly after completing the course. My new employer is a travel insurance provider, and I'm working from home as a Customer Service Agent.

I now feel better prepared to remain in work having completed the course, because I can use the written knowledge and presenting skills in my everyday work.
