Learner Feedback | Jonathon Ince - Back2Work Complete Training

Our pre-employment LGV driver routeway course teaches drivers to be able to drive professionally and gain their Category C (Class 2) or Category C+E (Class 1) licence.

One learner who recently completed the course is Jonathon Ince from Greater Manchester, who has since secured a full-time role with a national road-surfacing company.

Jonathon's Story

Having previously trained as a Plasterer, Jonathon decided he wanted to switch careers and pursue new opportunities as a professional driver, focusing on goods vehicles. He enrolled on our LGV driver routeway to learn the fundamentals of this industry and gain the relevant qualifications.

"I've always had the right work ethic but didn't have the right qualifications to become a professional driver. This course has really helped me getting into the driving of HGVs, as I didn't know too much about them before."

Increased Confidence & Securing Employment

On completion of the LGV routeway course, Jonathon now has more confidence in driving heavy goods vehicles, and has since managed to secure employment in this field.

"The course taught me so much about the industry and I'm now a lot more confident than I was previously. I'm also confident that this is now my current and future career."

Not only did Jonathon successfully complete the course, gaining new skills, qualifications and industry knowledge along the way, but he managed to secure employment as a professional driver shortly after.

"I gained employment shortly after passing my test. I currently work for a company which helps in the repairing of roads, driving a rigid vehicle some days to pick materials up, and also help with the laying of tarmac.

"I want to thank my tutor, Mark Wesley, as he was absolutely brilliant. He was always there to support me in any way I needed it."
