Our Networking & Cybersecurity course is designed to help learners develop and extend their digital and IT skills to prepare for different roles in network support and digital design.

On completion of the course, each learner receives an industry-recognised Level 3 qualification in Networking & Cybersecurity.

One learner who recently completed the course is Henrik from Coventry, who took some time out to reflect on his experience while on the course and shares his thoughts with us below.

Enjoyable experience

Henrik told us about the enjoyable experience he shared on the online course with his fellow learners, and how he was introduced to new terminologies and subjects throughout the course.

Overall I have enjoyed this course, it gave me a great foundation for me to pursue further study.

I learned a lot of unfamiliar things that I had no knowledge about, especially about Networking and Cybersecurity. I also learned new stuff about project management, though as an animator and creator who needs to project plan and manage, I did not know the formal terms or methodologies.

Advice for others

Henrik also offered some words of advice for anyone else who may be thinking of enrolling on the Level 3 Networking & Cybersecurity course and shared the importance of respecting fellow learners.

Make sure that you listen and focus throughout, as well as having the technical equipment to do the assessments. Also, be friendly and recognise that you are learning new stuff, so be respectful to others who may struggle and be helpful when you need to be.

Next steps

Not only did Henrik gain valuable insights and skills to take forward in his pursuit of a career working in Cybersecurity, but he also gained an accredited Level 3 Certificate in Networking & Cybersecurity to boost his overall employability and add to his CV. He concluded his feedback by revealing his next steps, which could involve an apprenticeship.

I can see a pathway to follow which will be helpful with progression into the sector. I will certainly need to take a few more steps, and it is clear that I will need some further education and am already looking at possible apprenticeship opportunities in this field.

Congratulations again Henrik, and the very best of luck in your future career!
