The Working Well: Support to Succeed programme is designed to help reduce inequality and social isolation in various neighbourhoods across Greater Manchester.

The programme aims to help those who are economically inactive by providing free wellbeing, confidence and skills support, as well as providing access to opportunities to help them become more active residents, with the confidence and aspirations to achieve their goals.

Recent Visit

Our Group CEO, Luke Muscat and Managing Director, Nikki Wood, recently spent some time visiting the Support to Succeed programme in Greater Manchester and witnessed for themselves some of the challenges that many of our participants face.

They first visited our Wigan office, where they got involved with our ‘social corner’, which is an informal drop-in session for our participants to come along and play games, enjoy good food and good company in a safe and supportive environment.

Homeless Support Project

As part of their visit, Luke and Nikki also spent some time with the Homeless Support Project (HSP) based in Leigh.

The HSP aims to support anyone that walks through their door by supplying food, drink and advice, as well as tents, sleeping bags and other supplies for those who are homeless.

Luke and Nikki were introduced to the charity’s founders, Lynne and Paul, who were very welcoming and were on-hand to answer questions on how they help to support those that need their help throughout Wigan and Leigh.

Speaking after Luke and Nikki’s visit, our Senior Operations Manager for the Support to Succeed programme, Joanne McLauchlin, said;

I'd like to thank both Luke and Nikki for taking the time out of their hectic schedules to spend some time with not only our brilliant advisors and key support staff, but also some of our participants, to hear first-hand about some of their struggles and barriers to employment.

From my perspective, this really demonstrates our commitment to these contracts and to our participants. I don't think many CEO's or Managing Directors get into the hearts of local communities in the way in which ours do! I am incredibly privileged to lead on these types of contracts and to be supported by both Luke and Nikki in this way.
