Katie joined our provision on February 27th with the aim of completing our Level 2 qualification in Digital Contact Centre & Customer Service, which included an interview for a work from home position upon successful course completion. Delivered within an online environment, she was given support by her tutor to achieve all elements and included a variety of activities, using online tools and resources.

Katie was previous employed at a university but after falling pregnant with her child was unable to get back into the workforce, she required support during the course with scheduling due to her young son.

Katie had 3 very young children and a difficult situation at home, but it was a credit to her desire to get back into work that she was able to attend every session in good time and was a key member of the group in discussions, activities and conversations throughout.

Katie was given opportunity to attend additional support sessions to give her space and time to work around her schedule, and took advantage of them when necessary.

Katie has achieved her Level 2 Customer Service qualification and will be attending her interview with Teleperformance next week.

Delivery of this qualification has had direct impact in upskilling people within the Tees Valley region and helping them move into the workforce through our guaranteed work from home interviews – specifically helping people who require flexibility in their job roles, such as young mothers, those with disabilities and other commitments.

She has a wealth of knowledge and understanding to offer and submits her work to a great standard. Katie has gained many additional skills during her time on this course and discusses legislation and British Values with ease.
